The Ministry Wife Certificate is designed to provide encouragement, direction, and training for student and ministry wives in biblical studies, marriage and family matters, personal spiritual growth, and practical skills. Leavell College will be offering the following courses for the Ministry Wife Certificate during the Fall 2016-Summer 2017 academic year:
This Ministry Wife Certificate is designed for NOBTS campus and extension center student wives as well as other ministry wives. Wives of all currently-enrolled NOBTS students can register for and enroll in these courses free of charge. Other ministry wives whose husbands are not currently attending NOBTS will be required to pay fees and hourly tuition rates. All students will be responsible for textbook costs.
The requirements for the certificate include "The Minister's Wife" and seven elective courses. The Minister's Wife course is offered every fall on campus as well as in a 2-and-a-half-day workshop format during Red Carpet Week in May. This course must be completed before a student can earn the Ministry Wife certificate. New students will be enrolled in the Ministry Wife certificate program when they register for their first class.
Ministry Wives can apply into the program at the first class meeting or beforehand by completing the Ministry Wife Application Form (click here for form). There is no charge but each student must apply before being registered into classes.
One online course is offered during the fall, spring and summer. Online courses are 8 weeks in length. Two are offered each semester, one for the first 8 weeks and another for the second 8 weeks of the semester. Students will be required to complete online weekly assignments in these courses. Students wishing to register for a course delivered in the online format must fill out the Ministry Wife Course Registration Form (click here for form). Once the form is filled out and you are registered, you will receive a confirmation email from the Leavell College Office. If you do not within 2-3 Business Days, please contact 504-816-8590.
